Byte o'Uniball

To play uniball first you need to signup or register for an account or username and password. To do this, open up BRchat.exe, serverbrowser.exe or uniball.exe and just type in the username and password you want. if it isn't already taken then the account will be made. But before you go jumping into a game of uniball, make sure you have the following settings:

When you open uniball.exe, before connecting to the server, click "uniball configuration" (bottem left button).
in the configuration box:

1. Most importently set Spinrate to Maximum as this allows you to turn around faster, although you may find it harder controling your ship at first, you will recover faster.

2. Click "propities". I recommend unchecking all those features, and then checking "hide background", as this reduces lag. Some people use the background on large maps to help them drive a straight line (when you cant see walls) but i find it best to use the minimap.
3. Selecting a resolution;
Choose 1024x768x8 or a higher resolution. If your resolution is smaller than this and you wont be able to see enough of the map to do long passes or shots. Note, if your resolution is too high, the ships will be too small for blocking other ships & catching the ball. The reason i recommend x8 is that it is less laggy.
4. Disable alpha blending.
5. Check "ball reticle" (or you can press f3 in game). the ball reticle is a circle around your ship that points to where the ball is.

6. CHANGING CONTROLS
go into your uniball folder and open the uniball.ini notepad file. put the number of the key you want in the right place.

7. Download patch's to make it easier
there are patches that make the scoreboard and minimap smaller, allowing you to see more of the map, there are also patches that make the crosshair more accurate and goalie/walls a nicer shape.
I recommend Swindles patch which isn't on UBC.

8. Editing sounds: you can edit the sounds by opening uniball.exe with a resource hacker (search google for one).

9. For Corner Defence and other maps where it is speedball (you must shoot the ball automatically) there is an AUTO CLICKER program that you can download to shoot the ball automatically. If anyone has the program please let me know so i can have it avalible here.
